My friends will probably murder me if/when they see my over-the-top caricatures of how I remember them from high school, but I quite like them! My favourite are me (purple/white hair, fat, unibrow) and the skinny hunched fellow with the pointy chin, although I’m extra fond of the skinny blonde curled up like a cat in the last two images – although she’s the most likely to see these and the most likely to murder me, and the person who ended the most warped. Sorry, You Probably Know Who You Are! (Blonde Curled Up Like a Cat Girl was a semi-permenant fixture of my passenger seat in high school.)

I like everything about this picture, I just don’t like them together. The composition is really bad. Not just by illustration professor standards, but by my own “i don’t need no composition, i’m just going to stick shit in wherever there’s room” standards.

I’ve been drawing an awful lot lately, but not uploading any of it because it’s either suburban-mythology stuff or not good enough to be suburban-mythology stuff. (Which is saying something!) I’ve almost finished a sketchbook this month. I used to go through one every week or two, but since the beginning of last summer I only went through one. Fascinating.
