I was thinking that for someone who goes on about animation so much I haven’t done much, and all that I’ve done has been lost? So I was fucking around with it and so far I’ve got this. It’s about a third as long as it will be.
I don’t have a camera or any animation programs, this was just made by scanning each frame, which is a pain because limbs would fall off as I flipped it for the scanner. But anyway, is there a program I can use to colligate these and turn them into a .mov/.avi/.mpg/whatever that I can stick on youtube instead of this ugly gif thing? do you know? And put in sound?
Anyway, click on the preview to see the super super short animation. It’s a .gif, and it’s a bunch of frames long so it’s going to take forever to load and look terrible, so open it up in a background frame and wait for it to load or something.
My first homework assignment of the new semester, and I am so proud! I hope I can keep up this consistent quality in my work for the rest of the year. I took the assignment that was supposed to be a college made of found fonts, and turned it into another saga in the ballad of the Jack of Spades and the Queen of Hearts. I guess they did run off to Vegas together, but got involved a bit too heavily in high-stakes Crazy Eights, eventually leading to the inevitable betrayal that I think even Jack knew was coming. So what’s next for our vagabond lovers? will their adventure continue? Or will Jack finally see the mistake he’s made with this ironically heartless woman, take his own advice and head back to the land of Spades, hanging his poor head lower than it has ever hung before?
I’m thinking about giving them pupils. What do you think?
